Runner convert to Pilates
I am not good at doing the exercises on my own I try occasionally but life gets very busy and so the classes really work for me especially if I have had a tense week (most weeks) and been running. I think you should know Pilates has been a revelation for me and I really feel the benefit even if do struggle to get the exercises right.
Ged, North Berwick
I have just started my second set of 6 classes with Betsy. I absolutely love it! The Pilates Reformer is a great piece of equipment and Betsy is so patient with me.
Everything is explained so well and I’ve actually found some long lost muscles!
I am totally converted and will definitely be keeping this up with Betsy.
I thought I would be a bit nervous with the 1-1 sessions but was made to feel totally at ease.
Thank you so much Betsy.

Since joining this class I have seen both my own and other students’ Pilates practice improve and my body is feeling the benefits. I would highly recommend Betsy as a teacher. Her classes are both challenging and fun. The structure of the classical approach ensures that as you (and your body!) learn, you can start to combine improvements into your daily life that make a big difference to how your body feels. Easily the best fitness programme that I have worked with.
Barry North Berwick North Berwick Pilates Class
Having signed up for a Yoga and Pilates Retreat earlier this year, I was in a panic about not having done any Pilates for a few years and worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up, then a flier popped through my door, just at the right time, and I found Betsy!
She offered me a “quick refresher” course on a one-to-one basis on the reformer to gt me “retreat ready” and I haven’t looked back.
Her enthusiasm and expertise are infectious, she encourages me to push myself while still feeling I am in control of how much I am doing.
After just a few weeks I was ready for my retreat and the instructor there commented on my good technique.
I have continued to have one-to-one sessions on the reformer as well as joining a mat class and I feel much better in myself for it.
My posture is better, I sleep better and I feel much more flexible.
there are many Pilates classes in my area – mostly run by fitness instructors who have studied Pilates as an “add-on” to their own qualifications. Betsy is the real deal and is a fully trained and qualified Pilates and Yoga instructor – the difference is immediately obvious when you attend one of her classes.
I’m so glad I found Betsy and I hope to train under her guidance for many years to come.
“I have worked closely with Betsy for more than six months and she has been constantly flexible in trying to deal with my very particular needs. I have Parkinson’s and have pretty much constant back pain. Betsy has at least three entirely different programmes which she takes me through according to my general wellbeing at any particular time. By her relentless focus on posture Betsy has undoubtedly contributed substantially to the improvement in my condition which has taken place in the period we have been working together. I have been sufficiently impressed by how we have progressed that I am planning to carry on working with her via Skype supplemented by occasional visits to East Lothian in Scotland. My main regret, assuming we can make this work, is that I won’t have regular access to the Reformer which is an immensely versatile piece of equipment which can be adopted to focus on just about any major muscle in the body.”
Carol – impressed!, age 73
“I have been looking for a good Pilates teacher for several years and found one in Betsy this year. Before I retired, I used to teach teachers to teach and Betsy not only ticks all the boxes, but has the human holistic approach. She takes the student from where they are to where they can be, at their own pace, giving inspiration and encouragement on the way.”
“I first started Pilates with Betsy in October 2015. After years of muscle pain due to fibromyalgia, she introduced me to her reformer and bingo I loved it. With Betsy’s encouragement I have reached a level I never dreamed I could. She is a very patient and caring teacher and as other clients have testified she instinctively knows how far to gently push you into trying different routines as you get stronger. Betsy you will be sadly missed, what will we do without you? I feel so much stronger thanks to Betsy. If you get the chance to join a class go for it, you won’t regret it she is brilliant.”
“I have enjoyed Betsy’s Pilates over the last few months thanks to a friend’s recommendation. They are the best I have tried. I regularly suffered from bad back but since going to her class on a weekly basis, I have not had to go for any treatments. Betsy pushes you in a gentle way and your body does the rest. Without realising it, you end up perfectly adjusted. She is simply great.”

Judy, age 78 – 65+ Pilates
“I have greatly enjoyed the weekly Pilates for 65+ classes with Betsy. They were beneficial to my overall health and strength while being good fun because of Betsy’s sympathetic understanding of the difficulties of older bodies and her good sense of humour. She never makes one feel inadequate. I am very sorry that the classes have to end because of her relocation.”
Ann, age 80
“I am desperately sorry that you, Betsy, will be leaving as I felt that I really benefited from my classes with you. I have multiple back problems but you always, sympathetically, found a way to help me tackle the exercises on the Pilates Reformer. Not only did that make me feel fitter but also, there is no doubt, my mobility and ability greatly improved. Also my energy levels increased and I always left your classes feeling much younger – that cannot be bad! Betsy is a lovely lady and I will miss her and her classes.”
“I really enjoy Betsy’s classes, she has a lovely teaching style which is very supportive, but also challenging if you want to be challenged. She is very good at giving individual guidance within the class while at the same time maintaining the flow of the session and making it fun. I started as a complete beginner in her Pilates class and liked her teaching and the friendly atmosphere of the group so much that I decided to sign up for her yoga class too. I have tried one or two other yoga classes since then at spas, but the quality of the teaching is never quite as good as Betsy’s! After just a few months I can’t believe how much more resilient and dependable my body feels.”

Rita“Thank you for the session today. Oddly enjoyable! You are an astounding teacher and enabler. I have always been a bit wary of allowing folk to witness my weird hip up close. You, however, have made it all easy to do…not ALL the exercises, I hasten to add. Some of them are quite demanding! I am sad to see you leave.”Goring
“I joined Betsy’s Pilates Beginners classes in early 2015 following an injury to my lower back. The intention was to develop better core strength to avoid repeatedly hurting myself. Since starting I have found that I really enjoy the classes and look forward to Wednesday evenings. I have tried to analyse what it is that makes the classes so enjoyable and ended up with the following reasons, they are not is order of preference as I don’t think I have one so take your pick about what is important to you. 1) Having started classes through injury, Betsy has made sure that whatever exercise I do, the injury is taken into consideration so as to avoid making it worse. There are others in the class with joint/injury concerns and these are also taken into account. This shows a high level of awareness from Betsy to each of her students. 2) The classes are FUN, while you will work hard there is always a sense that what ever it is you are doing, however hard you are finding it, it is fun. 3) The beginners classes follow a set routine so you do much the same exercises each week, this means you can see that you are improving, exercises that you really struggled with at the beginning become noticeably easier and your technique improves. 4) As you improve and feel you want to be challenged further, Betsy runs “Improver” classes. I am not ready for those yet. 5) The classes are small so there is enough time for each person to get some 1-2-1 attention, having done other group exercise classes this I feel is important. 6) There is good mix of men and women, I don’t know but I think this may be unusual. So don’t worry about being the only male in the class. So, take your pick. Those are the reasons I enjoy the classes, would I recommend them to my best friend? Yes I would.””
“For a long time, I have been attracted to the thought of Pilates as a form of exercise but I have never had the courage to start or found a class to suit my schedule. This has changed and I am loving it. Betsy’s clarity of explanation, patience and unwavering support & encouragement have kept me going and I now feel that I am getting so much out of each class and Pilates as a whole – it is just what I had hoped it would be. Thank you Betsy!!”
Lynne – “fantastic!”
“After suffering a back sprain in January, I received physiotherapy. However, this wasn’t working quite as comprehensively as I’d hoped. I saw Betsy’s advertisement of Pilates courses in our local newsletter and decided to give it a try. Well – the 1:1 sessions on the Reformer have done more for my back than anything else. The evening classes have improved it even more too. Betsy’s attention to her clients takes some beating and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Just so sorry that we are going to lose her due to her move back to Edinburgh.”
“Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Pilates/Yoga blend class last night! I really liked the mix of yoga and Pilates! And you explain things so well – which makes it really easy to follow! And it was so nice stretching again after having the summer off!!”
“Betsy is an inspired – and inspiring – teacher. She is the perfect mix of encouragement, focus, discipline and fun. Her classes are stretching in all senses of the word, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She’s a true professional, and she really cares about her students. Also, Betsy offers classes on The Reformer, if you want to be even more challenged. Before her classes, I never knew I had a “power house”. Now I can’t live without it!”
“I contacted Betsy because I have been out of touch with my body for years, overweight and was facing some serious surgery. She was so encouraging and inspiring from the very beginning. I had one to one classes with her where she carefully assessed my abilities and created a routine on her “reformer” which took me through from a complete beginner to one who really enjoys and benefits form Pilates. I loved my time with her. She truly gives a “Bespoke” service which is quite unique. I am so sorry she is leaving Goring and highly recommend her.”
“I started Pilates (following a couple of recommendations) because of problems with a slipped disc and I experienced a significant improvement very quickly. I much enjoy the Pilates sessions with Betsy. She is very engaging, explains the process and knows just how much to push you and I highly recommend her approach. I can see and feel the improvement. GO FOR IT!!!”
Rebecca, very satisfied customer
“I am absolutely gutted that Betsy is moving north, I know I’m not going to find another class like hers. I’ve done a lot of Pilates in the past & spent years looking for the perfect class & I finally found it with Betsy. She made me so much stronger and even brought my post-3 kids abdominals back in line. If you have the chance to work with her then do it.”
“Betsy has been an excellent, kind and patient teacher. I had never done Pilates before and wasn’t sure what to expect. What I found was someone who inspired me to want to exercise and learn. There was always carrot, never stick! Having had twelve sessions with Betsy I was ready to book more but, unfortunately for me, she is relocating to Scotland. I recommend Betsy to all age groups – she has helped my back enormously – and to anyone interested in Pilates and getting themselves fitter and more supple. She really is the best of teachers. I wish her every success in Scotland and have no doubt that she will soon be very busy.”
Jenny – age 70
“Betsy is one special lady! She is a gifted, conscientious, knowledgeable teacher and in her classes you are left in no doubt that you are an individual about whose progress and welfare she cares very deeply. Her welcoming smile and her gentle, easy sense of humour create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you want to keep coming back for more. But the physical improvement will have you hooked pretty quickly anyway. I felt the benefit of her expertise and encouragement almost immediately. My legs were stronger and I was walking much better despite an arthritic knee. In short, Betsy and Pilates is a winning combination! Lucky, lucky Scotland! EXTRA TIP: I found it really beneficial to have a one to one session first and if you can do some individual reformer classes your progress will storm along!”
Jane, age 73 – 65+ Pilates
“As one who is in the autumn of her years, I was delighted to find that Betsy offered a pilates class for over 65’s. I joined a group who wanted to keep their bodies as supple and active for as long as possible. Betsy has been brilliant. She’s been patient, encouraging and made us work hard and our classes have always been fun. I personally feel as fit as anyone in their 50’s now and it’s with great sadness that we are losing her to Scotland. She’ll be missed but I wish her every success with the new challenges ahead.”
“Betsy has been a real joy for the Members of our Tuesday and Wednesday lunch clubs. She helps them to improve their fitness in ways which are fun. Everyone warms to her because of her understanding of the needs and limitations of the older person, and because of her caring, kind and engaging ways. She quickly builds a rapport with people and at the same time shows a very professional approach to everything she does. In fact we are going to miss her visits greatly and we know she will be very hard to replace. So we have no hesitation whatever in recommending Betsy to you. You will not be disappointed. When can we have her back!!”

“Pilates with Betsy in Goring was just great and I am very sad that she has moved! Her classes are always highly professional, with close attention to the needs of individuals. Betsy is so supportive of her students; she really does build confidence and allow you to progress at the rate that is best for you. Wishing you all the best for Scotland!”

Lorna, age 80
“A few months ago I had a private lesson from Betsy to learn something about Pilates and have been going regularly ever since. It is a great exercise and, helped by her fantastic “Reformer”, within my capabilities. My walking has improved and my body seems more flexible. I have really enjoyed the lessons. Betsy makes them varied and fun (we always manage a laugh too!). She is a lovely, charismatic lady, enthusiastic about her work and very encouraging. Good luck Betsy – I and all your other pupils will miss you a lot. If it’s too cold in Scotland, please come back!”
“Betsy is the best. As a beginner, I was amazed how easy it was to settle in to Pilates. Betsy is calm, relaxed and yet seems to push you to your best ability. She makes you feel comfortable to try out new exercises and her smile and laughter is contagious. Couldn’t recommend her more highly!”
Lisa – Busy Mum!
“I joined up with Betsy having never done pilates before but I needed to get out of a rut. Having suddenly lost my Dad, I felt very low, anxious and depressed. I used pilates first and foremost to try to ease these feelings and gain some insight into mindfulness. After one session I was hooked. Betsy has a style about her teaching that makes you want to be your very best, even if your core won’t let you balance on your side for too long! I would thoroughly recommend Betsy as a pilates teacher that you want to learn from. She is inspirational, educational and whilst fun – is firm too! Whether you want to gain that elusive flat stomach, a core that is strong as an ox or just take time for yourself, you definitely should try The Bespoke Approach.”
“I began Pilates classes with Betsy some time after surgery and found her to be patient and enthusiastic.. I found myself able to do things I had never thought possible, and I will miss her cheerful encouragement. It has been a real pleasure to be in her class. Best wishes and good luck to you in your next venture.”
John and Cecilia, ages 82 & 75
“How lucky we have been to meet and be exercised by Betsy for the last four months. The range of movements that Betsy gets one to undertake are taxing but beneficial to the body and can be fun! We will miss you and hope that your move to Scotland will be kind to you both and that your business continues to prosper.”
“Before I started doing yoga and Pilates with Betsy I was in a right old state with my neck and shoulder. A year ago I couldn’t even lift the shopping out of the back of the car and now I am a new woman, I can do virtually any activity I like with ease. It’s all down to Betsy’s classes. Betsy remembers your name; she remembers which bits of your body to treat with care, and gives you options to make sure you exercise to your ability. She builds you up slowly and encourages you to try. With her beautiful American/Scottish accent she gently steers you in the right direction. Betsy is a special teacher as she cares about every single person who comes to her classes, and in turn she gains love and respect back from them. I trusted her with my aching body and now, to my amazement, I can raise my hands at a Bruce Springsteen concert and clap along for hours! Thank you Betsy!”
Diana, age 89 – 65+ Pilates
“Ode to Betsy… Seven ladies lying on the lawn, legs aloft, just like newly borns, none too young and some too old, but keen as mustard and oh so bold. We’re sad to see dear Betsy go and gathered here to tell her so. And now this class are come together to see her off to the Scottish heather.”
“I always walk out of a yoga/pilates class with Betsy feeling a bit taller, as if every part of my body has been wonderfully stretched and feeling so much better within myself. Tuesdays were always one of the highlights of my week and I cannot highly enough recommend a Betsy class.”
“I have attended yoga classes with Betsy for over 5 years during which I went on a mind and body expedition. From cat to camel I have found new depths of focus and increased mindfulness and flexibility. Her warm and light hearted approach made every class a pleasure rather than a chore.”
“I have been attending Betsy’s yoga and more recently Pilates classes for over 4 years. My flexibility, suppleness and body awareness have improved greatly through attending her classes. Betsy always encourages her pupils to ‘push’ themselves that little bit further, but at the same time to ‘listen to your body’ and only do what is right for you. She demonstrates every move and posture, and has endless patience. She notes each individual pupil’s needs/ability and will, where necessary, adapt movements to suit. Her classes are extremely focused, but also warm and friendly.”
“Betsy’s classes are wonderful. She explains how to do poses clearly and always takes each person’s individual needs into consideration. She is an excellent communicator with her pupils and relates to each one on a personal level. Her sense of fun comes across in her classes and she always brings new ideas and interesting thoughts when we begin relaxation. She creates a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere during relaxation. I really miss her classes!”
“I have to say that I’ll miss your classes when you do go, your excellent attitude, personality and professionalism is in a joy to behold. People with your talent and people skills are few and far between. I’ve enjoyed every class you’ve taken and will miss you when you go, hopefully I’ll get to a class before you go!”
“I have found the early morning Yoga/Pilates sessions a great way to start the working day – the feel good factor from a combination of having done some exercise and having a sense of relaxation. Whilst I have done yoga before the combination with Pilates is new for me and has helped to strengthen my core muscles and improved my posture.”
“I had never tried Yoga before attending Betsy’s classes and really feel the benefit. From early lessons I was more aware of how to sit and stand correctly and feel it does help with relaxing. You work hard and even those stretches that seem impossible, you find you manage to get a little nearer as time progresses. I would recommend the classes to anyone.”
“As a more senior member of the yoga class I needed Betsy’s wise encouragement to persevere! I now feel I have really benefitted physically and psychologically from the friendly and relaxed sessions, and the link up with Pilates has definitely improved my posture and the understanding of my body. Thank you Betsy!”
Nicky – “Pot of gold!”
“Betsy – THANK YOU!! Am LOVING the classes – even, finally, the Pilates (MOST of the time!!) – thanks for your unswerving encouragement and helping me to persevere with the Pilates (greatly needed!!) – really feel like I’m starting to reap the benefit, and your soothing, calming voice in the yoga relaxation – well, that’s the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!!”
“Having practiced both yoga and Pilates with Betsy for over a year I can recommend both/either. Each have their specific benefits; Pilates for core strengthening and yoga for flexibility and relaxation. I have enjoyed both. Pilates is quite a work out and, if you are up for it, you can really go for it and feel the burn! Yoga is more subtle but for me the improved flexibility and joint opening has been hugely beneficial. The back pain that used to be a regular part of life has just about disappeared. That’s got to be worth a few pounds a week of anyone’s money! With both disciplines Betsy encourages you to work to your “edge”. There is no sense of competition – you just do what is right for you on any given day. Classes have a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and there are ladies and gents in both, so no reason for you fellas not to attend. Betsy is gentle and knowledgeable and her soft American accent is just perfect for instruction and particularly guided relaxation.”
Sarah & Holli
“I have been doing pilates, yoga and gym classes for about 25 years. I have so enjoyed Betsy’s classes and how she encourages you to push yourself to the next level. My daughter (16) started the classes to help strengthen her back and improve posture problems since attending she has had no back pain. Which is marvelous. We will be very sorry to see Betsy leave Guernsey. But where ever Betsy holds her classes in the future they will find her very knowledgeable and gain so much from the practice.”
“I am so so sorry to hear that you are going back to the UK. I think it’s a massive loss for Guernsey, for I am sure, if it was not for your amazing way of teaching, I would not have enjoyed and benefited from Pilates as much as I have. Thank you again for all that you have taught me, it has made such a difference to the way I move and my neck and shoulders have never felt so good! I cannot recommend you more and just wish you were staying in Guernsey.”
“I have spent close to 2 years building up from Foundation to Level 2 Pilates. Betsy’s teaching has been excellent and the classes have been good fun with jolly repartee between those present without being competitive – everyone works to their own potential. All in all it has been great fun and the whole class is sorry that Betsy has to move back to the UK – I cannot recommend her skills and approach highly enough.?”
Zoe, Lucia & Debbie
“We undertook Pilates under the tuition of Betsy for approx. 7 months and all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. With 2 novices and 1 rusty Pilates student, Betsy had her work cut out but was accommodating for the levels within our Group and had the patience of a saint! Zoe has scoliosis and part of her back had been fused via an operation over 5 years ago, so movement was not as free as the rest of us. Betsy went out of her way to learn about the condition and adapt the classes to assist Zoe with movement within her capabilities. We wish Betsy all the best in her new venture and will miss our Monday night classes away from the family (over an hour of peace and quiet and me time)!”
“As a senior citizen, I have found Betsy’s yoga classes to be of immense benefit. Her gentle and patient approach to teaching has helped me enormously with flexibility and to think about breathing and stretching correctly. I would strongly recommend Betsy’s yoga classes (which are so friendly) to anyone regardless of age. She is going to be sorely missed in Guernsey.”
Grateful Guernsey pupil
“I am so going to miss Betsy’s classes, she made them so enjoyable…I feel I have truly accomplished something under Betsy’s guidance. I have had a dodgy lower back for several years and always took the anti-inflammatory tablets and pain killers each year on the annual skiing holiday…so I enrolled in Betsy’s classes. It took a while, with me attending the Beginners course of classes more then once. But Betsy gave me the confidence to move on to the Improver classes, and I can honestly say that my 2014 skiing was pain free, my fitness had improved and I kept up with my husband on the slopes, just! At 60 years plus, and for any age, I wholeheartedly recommend Betsy’s Pilates classes. She is a lovely lady who will make you feel most welcome.”
Helen & Andy
“My physio recommended Pilates for my bad back caused by a weak core and not helped by my being a fencer. My first step was to find out what it was. Betsy were highly recommended to me and so my daughter and I had a private session. Betsy gave a great introduction to both understand Pilates and her bespoke approach . We subsequently did 3 sets of classes with her and were disappointed when she had to move away with her husband. The classes have done wonders for my back and provided a very entertaining way of keeping fit. My daughter also enjoyed them immensely and they do appeal to all levels and ages.”
“I have really enjoyed your Pilate’s classes (and the Yoga which I have attended on a few occasions), after hurting my back your calm and consistent method of teaching, together with your experience, patience and understanding have helped immensely in strengthening my back and giving me the confidence and mobility to return to golf, which was my ultimate goal. I will miss you and your classes, still can’t quite believe your leaving! Your future pupils are very lucky and I wish you the very best in your new adventure.”
“Betsy conducted a corporate session of blended yoga and Pilates for a PR event for Healthspan in Guernsey. In the session there were 15 prominent UK health writers and journalists writing for leading newspapers and women’s magazines. Betsy is a professional and made everyone feel at ease whilst tailoring the session to match the capabilities and experience of the class. The journalists loved the session, leaving it feeling energised and ready for the day.”

“Betsy is a wonderful teacher, she has a very calming influence which means you immediately feel relaxed in her presence. When I fell pregnant I immediately told Betsy in confidence, as I was unsure as to whether I should continue with yoga classes or not, as my pregnancy at the time was considered to be high risk. Betsy reassured me that she could tailor my yoga positions so that I could continue to practice yoga in a safe environment, she did all of this very subtly throughout the class so that my fellow class mates were none the wiser of my pregnancy, until the second trimester when I felt ready to announce the news. I am so glad that I continued with yoga throughout my pregnancy as I am sure it was the reason that I had a quick and easy labor. I also feel that the yoga enabled me to bounce back from birth very quickly so that I was ready to be a new Mummy! Betsy I will really miss you.”

“I would like to say that it has been a pleasure to be part of your pilates class and although I was a little sceptical at first I am now a true believer in the benefits of pilates. It has improved my all round fitness and core strength. Your style of teaching is excellent because although you get through a lot of good work in every class you also make it a fun experience and I can honestly say that I enjoyed every class.”
Senion Manager, Guernsey
“Betsy told me she was a Pilates and Yoga Instructor and had just moved to the Island and wanted to set up classes. I suggested come down to La Grande Mare and use our Studio. I soon received lots of feedback from the members. Betsy was so busy she generated a waiting list. By this time we then decided to add 2 more classes to the timetable. Everyone that participated in her classes will miss her including myself as we developed a good friendship. I would recommend Betsy to anyone wishing to start Pilates or deciding to continue at a more advanced level.”
La Grande Mare Health Centre Manager, Guernsey
“I have been to the gym and yoga classes for over 15 years and Betsy suggested Pilates as a combination of the two. Pilates has now become a part of my weekly routine. Betsy has steered me through level 1 and 2 within a year by infectious enthusiasm, great knowledge of the subject and hard work.”
“When you have a trusted hairdresser and feel that if they moved you’d want to follow….well Betsy falls into that category for me! Her yoga and Pilates classes are conducted in a relaxed and friendly environment. You feel confident knowing that she is watching you, encouraging and helping you to do the exercises safely…. always helping you to progress. Being as knowledgeable and experienced as she is enables her to create different classes that are interesting with exercises that compliment each other perfectly. This results in you feeling the benefits and healthier for doing her classes each time.”
“Betsy has been brilliant fitting my husband and myself in for private and class Pilates sessions. She explains the moves so clearly and enables and encourages you to do the exercises correctly. She is very knowledgeable with back issues. Within a couple of sessions our bad backs faded and it’s now up to us to continue the good work she has started with us. I have done Pilates for ten years and Betsy is easily the best teacher I have had, I would throughly recommend her to anyone and to all ages.”
“Having suffered with back problems for a several years I had often thought that taking up a Pilates class might be a good idea but never got round to it until by good chance Betsy started up her classes in Goring Heath Parish Hall. I am so glad she did as I have been amazed at the difference just one hour a week has made not only to my back but to the flexibility of my whole body.”

“Guernsey’s Loss – Goring’s Gain! I have been attending Betsy’s Over 65 Class since it started at the beginning of 2015. I had always been interested in Pilates but thought I had left it much too late to join an exercise class. However, when I read about the new Over 65 Class I plucked up my courage and signed up. Betsy makes everything seem possible and ensures that everyone feels comfortable and safe. She encourages one to do the best they can and praises every small improvement. A Born Teacher!”
“Secret to a good night’s sleep – I have been enjoying Betsy’s yoga classes in Goring and Goring Heath since November. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere and every session is different which keeps the classes interesting and challenging. Betsy’s a very experienced teacher and has a real enthusiasm for yoga, Pilates and their benefits to health and well-being. I always know that I will have a wonderful, deep sleep after a class and I will wake up feeling refreshed. Thank you Betsy for your wonderful classes.”
“Thanks to Betsy’s calm approach, relaxation is made easy. Betsy’s thorough knowledge and ability to teach us all at an individual level within the group has given me the confidence to push myself that little bit further. Yoga is now an essential part on my weekly routine. It helps me sleep better, relax more and gets rid of all those little aches and pains! Thanks Betsy!”
“I absolutely love Betsy’s yoga classes and I am very sad that she has to move back to Scotland. I like her teaching style as she takes you through every single movement explaining how it should be done. Her relaxation techniques are unbelievable! I witnessed people falling asleep and even snoring after 2 minutes 🙂 I was probably one of them! Betsy is a wonderful, very experienced yoga teacher and generally a really nice person. I hope she will come back to Goring very soon!!! You will be missed.”
Chosley“I have so appreciated all of your classes and learn so much – you will be really missed. Thank you so much for all your enthusiasm and really clear inspirational teaching. You have helped me achieve a level of core strength and fitness I would not have believed possible when starting Pilates later in life. I do hope you will settle quickly into your new life in Scotland and will quickly establish your classes there. We will all really miss you here. With very many thanks…”Lynda
